Service Description
Provided by a Community Lactation Educator in Training Prepare for your feeding journey with personalized, evidence-based breastfeeding education designed to help you feel informed and confident before your baby arrives During your one-on-one session, we'll cover: - The benefits of breastfeeding for you and your baby - Positioning and achieving a comfortable latch - Understanding milk production and supply - Pumping basics and milk storage - Common breastfeeding challenges and practical strategies - How your partner or support person can help - When and where to seek additional breastfeeding support - A breastfeeding resource guide with evidence-based information and referrals to lactation professionals, including IBCLCs, when appropriate Important Note As a Community Lactation Educator in Training, I provide education, guidance, encouragement, and evidence-based resources. I do not diagnose or treat breastfeeding or medical concerns. If concerns arise beyond my scope, I will refer you to your healthcare provider or an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Disclaimer: These sessions are educational and are not a substitute for medical care or individualized lactation treatment. Families experiencing concerns such as significant nipple pain, poor infant weight gain, mastitis symptoms, tongue tie concerns, or low milk transfer will be referred to their healthcare provider and/or an IBCLC.
